    3. The following obits appeared in the SW Times today: SAFFORD, Ariz. - Susie R. Williams, 74, of Safford died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, in Safford. She was born Feb. 21, 1926, in Morenci, Ariz. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Safford and volunteered at the Safford nursing home.Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. today at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Safford. Burial arrangements are under the direction of Caldwell Funeral Home of Safford. She is survived by four daughters, Susan Marie Clem and Beatrice R. White, both of Arkansas, Sally Ruth Adams and Barbara Ann Rodela, both of Texas; three sons, Casey Tony Williams and Tom Charles Williams, both of Arkansas, and Frank P. Williams of Safford; four sisters; seven brothers; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. . Jessie Roberta Berry, 85, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker, a Pentecostal and the widow of Walter E. Berry.Graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith. She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Hawkins and Beverly Barker, both of Fort Smith; three sons, Robert E. Arnold and James E. Berry, both of Fort Smith, and Danny L. Berry of Van Buren; one sister, Marie McCaslin of Vasalia, Calif.; one brother, Lewis McClure of Van Buren; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Vera "Joni" Fancher, 82, Springfield, formerly of Fort Smith, died Aug. 27, 2000, in Springfield. She was a teacher for Chaffin and Darby junior high schools for 28 years, a member of First United Methodist Church, the Aldersgate Sunday School, the Arkansas Teachers Association and the local bridge club. She was the widow of Thomas Fancher.Memorial service will be 1 p.m. today in Roebuck Chapel of First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery of Fort Smith under direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. She is survived by one daughter, Diana Fancher of Toronto; two sons, Terry of Davie, Fla., and Mike of Springfield; three sisters, Cordelia Mayes of Hayesville, Kan., Opal Kaden of Tollhouse, Calif., and Leila Landess of Eatonville, Wash.; one brother, Joe Riley of Clovis, Calif.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will visit with friends from noon to 1 p.m. today at the church. FANSHAWE - Lela Frances Jaggers, 73, of Fanshawe died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, in Fanshawe. She was born June 9, 1927, in Poteau. She was a retired investigator for Southwestern Bell.Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Mountainview Baptist Church in Wister with burial at Hartshorne Cemetery in Hartshorne, Okla., under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. She is survived by her companion, Haskell Luman of Fanshawe; two sons, John Hoagland of Roslyn, Pa., and Kevin Hoagland of Prescott, Ariz.; three sisters, Devota Baker of Poteau, Katheryn Brod of Los Angeles, and Joyce Hunt of Bisbee, Ariz.; three brothers, William Hunt of Natchitoches, La., Mickey Hunt of Denton, Texas, and Charles Hunt of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and five grandchildren. Clyde Vanson Page, 85, of Van Buren died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, in Fayetteville. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Alma and a deacon at Kelly Heights Baptist and Windsor Park Baptist churches in Fort Smith. He was a retired postal clerk, a World War II Army veteran, a coal miner and the widower of Lorraine Lewis Page and Minnie Jewell Page.Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Concord Baptist Church in Alma with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. He is survived by one daughter, Barbara Ann West of Fayetteville; two sons, James Keeton of Van Buren and Clyde R. "Butch" Page of Westfork; one sister, Nita Ross of Plainview; one brother, Edward Page of Waco, Texas; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. PORUM, Okla. - Albert L. Woods, 75, of Porum died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, in a Haskell County hospital. He was retired from Pacific Packing Co.Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Coleman Cemetery in Porum under the direction of King and Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler. He is survived by his wife, Noma; two daughters, Lillie Garrett of Baker City, Ore., and Susie Borges of Porum; two sons, Albert Woods Jr. of Brimmerton, Wash., and Charlie Woods of Miami Shores, Fla.; five sisters, Julia Byrd and Golda Grissom, both of Porum, Eileen Hetrick of Houston, Joyce Flinchem of Tulsa and Pearl Fox of Muskogee, Okla.; one brother, Ray Kash of Porum; one half-brother, Eugene Woods of Martinez, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
