I was wondering if anyone could tell me the best places to find genealogy info. Mary >> Have a grand time! In Benton Co, visit Benton, AR. I think that's the county seat. There public library there has some microfilm, including older newspapers. In Sebastian Co, visit the Greenwood Library and the Old Jail House. The Jail House houses the local genealogical society. The library has no microfilm, but keeps copies of old newspapers on the second floor, and you can run up and down making copies : ) While at the library, go to the far left wall on the first floor, and flip through the index of the society's newsletters. The librarian is very sweet, and will help you locate it, if necessary. Check for your surnames. Most of the Key publications are there, so you can copy those pages for later use. If the publications are missing, head to the jail house, where they have all of them, and you can purchase the full pamphlet for that period of time you need. They also have other books available on Arkansas history and families. I spent 5 hours there alone. I think there are about 3 cemeteries in Greenwood. The one I know about is Mt Harmony, but I couldn't tell you how to get there : ) I was visiting at the time too. The people are great in both locations, and I'm sure you're hear from others about where to go. Have a terrific time! And happy hunting! Charlie Ward
