He was an Army veteran of World War II and Korea; a member, Sunday School teacher and church official of United Methodist Church in Greenwood; received his bachelor's degree from the University of Central Arkansas, his master's degree from the University of Mississippi and his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan; he was retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield; a member of several national advisory boards and associations; served as a scout master in Michigan and as chair of his District Scout Council in Mississippi and as president of the Mississippi Safety Council; held a lifetime membership in the South Sebastian County Historical Society; taught at Shelby State Community College in Memphis, Tenn., Memphis State, the University of Arkansas located near Memphis and Westark Community College.Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Greenwood with burial at Carlisle Cemetery in Carlisle under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home.He is survived by his wife, Delma Joyce Woosley of Greenwood; his sons, Byron of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., Paul of Montgomery, Ala., Ralph of Bagdad, Fla., Dan of Hoover, Ala., and John of Seattle; a daughter, Jane of Jackson, Miss.; a stepson, David Woosley of Greenwood; stepdaughters, Susan Tackett of Salem, Ill., and Sarah Trimble of Conway; his brothers, Lester of Plano, Texas, and Dale of Mount Vernon, Ill.; his sister, Mildred of Carlisle; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Turner Woosley. . GREENWOOD - Clifton Winford, 79, of Greenwood died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a retired construction worker and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.He is survived by his wife, Mary; one sister, Ellen Burton of Hartford, Kan.; one brother, Raymond Winford of Dyer; and several nieces and nephews. HOLLAND, PA. - James N. Jenkins III, 53, of Holland, Pa., died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, in Trenton, N.J.Born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Jenkins was a resident of Holland, Pa., since 1984. He was a captain in the Army for 14 years serving in Germany and Vietnam until his discharge in 1984. Mr. Jenkins was a dual rated Airline Transport Pilot for rotary and fixed wing aircraft. From 1986 to 1998, Mr. Jenkins was chief pilot for Johnson and Johnson Corporation at Mercer County Airport, Trenton, N.J. In 1998 he was promoted to director of the Johnson and Johnson Aviation Department. He was a member of the National Business Aircraft Association, the Professional Aircraft Maintenance Association and the Eastern Region Helicopter Council Inc and a member of the Spring Mill Country Club, Ivyland, where he was an avid golfer.He is survived by his daughters Jennifer E. and Jamie D. Jenkins, both of Arlington, Va. ALIX - Glenn Hough, 46, of Alix died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000 in his home. He was a boilermaker. His remains will be cremated and buried at Duncan Cemetery at a later date under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.He is survived by one daughter, Becky Hough of Okeechobee, Fla.; and one son, Glen Hough of Okeechobee, Fla. TULSA - Calvin C. Stockton, 58, of Tulsa died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000 in a Tulsa hospital. LITTLE ROCK - Wilma Faye Williams, 46, of Little Rock and formerly of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000 in a Little Rock hospital. She was a member of Mission Point Baptist Church, an employee of Southwest Airlines and served with the 188th Tactical Fighter Wing in Fort Smith.Funeral will be noon Monday at Mission Point Baptist Church with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with full military honors under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.She is survived by her husband, Timothy; her son, Nicholas of St. Louis; three step-children, Rico, Whitney and Anjelica; her mother, Mamie Hogue of Fort Smith; one sister, Myra Hogue of St. Louis; one brother, Ivory Hogue of St. Louis; and five grandchildren, Christian, Brandon, Jordan, Morgan and Cameron all of St. Louis. Billy W. Hall, 54, of Barling died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000 in his home. He was a phlebotomistand an Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ron.The body was cremated under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith. He spent most of his time working at various horse ranches across the country before setling in Sallisaw 11 years ago where he and his wife operated John Long Training Stables. He was a member of the Oklahoma Thoroughbred Horse Association, was named Trainer of the Year two years in a row and was named Thoroughbred Trainer of the Year three times by Blue Ribbon Downs. Jones Lumber Company in Dardanelle as a planerman and millright, he was a member of Dover United Methodist Church and operated the Cloud Deer camp for 36 years.
