She was a graduate of Lamar High School and a member of Hagarville Church of Christ.Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hagarville Church of Christ with burial at Hagarville Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home in Clarksville. She is survived by her husband, Ocil; two daughters, Mary Bean of Lamar and Nedra Bacchus of Hagarville; three sons, Noel, Dale and Don, all of Hagarville; one sister, Nannie Belle Hughes of Knoxville; one brother, Gayland McCarley of Russellville; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Walter McInroe Jr. TYLER, Texas - Walter B. McInroe Jr., of Tyler died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, in Tyler. He was an E-5 Sergeant and a highly decorated veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Elks and a quality control manager for Martin Marietta Corporation in California. He was a Baptist. Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with full military honors. He is survived by his wife, Patty of Mineola, Texas; one daughter, Kelly McInroe of Gardena, Calif.; one son, Michael of Long Beach, Calif.; one sister, Sandra McClure of Van Buren; and one brother, Ronald of Springdale. James Green McALESTER, Okla. - James H. Green, 71, of McAlester died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, in Talihina. He attended schools in the Fort Smith area. He was an Air Force recipient of several military ribbons and awards, including the Joint Service Commendation medal for outstanding service in Turkey and foreign tours of duty in Japan, and England.Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service in McAlester. Elsie Martin OZARK - Elsie Martin, 97, of Ozark died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, in Ozark. She was a homemaker and Baptist. She was the widow of Charles L. Jim Berna ALMA - Jim Jr. Berna, 75, of Alma died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, in Little Rock. He was a retired master sergeant with the Air Force and a decorated soldier of World War II and the Korean War. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at New Cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home in Mulberry. He is survived by one daughter, Martha Kuhnle of Carrisa Plains, Calif.; two sons, Jim of Little Rock and Charles of Santa Margarita, Calif.; two brothers, Ernest of Lincoln, Neb., and Lillard of Mulberry; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Maurice Kasten NEW YORK - Maurice E. Kasten, 77, of New York was a retired Humanities Professor at Steven's Institute in New Jersey. Formerly from Fort Smith he attended high school and junior college in Fort Smith. He was in the Army in World War II. He attended the University of Chicago and did his doctorate at Columbia University in New York. He was a writer and composer and was one of the founders of the Fort Smith Little Theater and appeared in several productions before leaving Fort Smith. He is survived by two sisters, Reba Kasten Nosoff of New York and Dr. Anna Kasten Nelson of Washington, and three nephews, Stephen Nosoff of Pennsylvania, Eric Nelson of Maryland and Michael Nelson of New York. Edith Harvey SALLISAW - Edith Stewart Harvey, 81, of Sallisaw died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, in Sallisaw. She was retired after 20 years with Nevada Bell Telephone of Reno, Nev. She was the widow of John Harvey.Direct cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She is survived by one daughter, Susan Brown of Sallisaw; two grandchildren, Douglas Folsom and Katherine Morgan, both of Sallisaw; and four great-grandchildren. Otho McKinzie Otho Farris McKinzie, 77, of Fort Smith died Saturday Nov. 25, 2000, in Fayetteville. He was a factory worker and an Army veteran of World War II. Buster Dixon LONDON - Buster Dixon, 78, of London died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, in a local nursing home. He was mayor of London from October 1979 through December 1997. He was a retired section foreman for Missouri-Pacific Railroad.
