    3. The following obits appeared in the SW Times today: CORINNE ASTON Corinne I. Aston, 89, of Van Buren died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, in a local nursing home. She was a member of University Methodist Church in Tulsa and a retired dental assistant. She is preceded in death by two husbands, H.I. Aston and Clarence G. Scott Sr.A private service will be held. Burial of remains are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. She is survived by one daughter, Susie Harris of Van Buren; one brother, John L. McCreery of Florida; four grandchildren, Gary McClanahan of Sallisaw, Randal McClanahan of Dallas, Cyndi Cox of Tulsa and Gerald Scott of Houston; and six great-grandchildren. TOMMY ROSS ALTUS - Tommy R. Ross, 68, of Altus died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, in a Clarksville hospital. He was born Aug. 27, 1932, in Altus. He was a retired teamster and an Army veteran. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a Methodist.Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Altus Methodist Church. The body was cremated under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark. He is survived by his companion, Lisa Maxfield of Altus; one daughter, Jeanette LePique of Kansas City, Mo.; one son, Timothy of Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Ruth Martwig of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Wanda Smith of Wasilla, Alaska; one brother, Bill of Altus; and one granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth LePique of Kansas City, Mo. BUGER CURETON COVE - "Buger" Don Cureton, 59, of Cove died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, in Hot Springs. He was born June 28, 1941. He was a logger and a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church.Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena. He is survived by his wife, Netlla; two daughters, Donna Turner and Netlla Anne Cureton, both of Cove; one son Greg of Dayton, Wash.; one sister, Aleta Peebles of Cove; and six grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Hilton and Hershel Bell, Bub Fairless, Jerry Dickerson, Nick Cureton and Calvin Baker. GAVIN HUGHES HEAVENER - Gavin Hughes, 83, of Heavener died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, in Poteau. She was a longtime resident of Heavener and a member of First United Methodist Church.Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener. The body will be cremated. MARTHA HARRIS SALLISAW - Martha Evelyn Harris, 58, of Sallisaw died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, in Sallisaw. She was a 1960 graduate of Mansfield High School. She was a member of Way of the Cross Free Will Baptist Church and the widow of Roger Allen Harris.Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fleetwood Cemetery, east of Sallisaw. The body will be cremated under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She is survived by one brother, Thomas Frank Knight of Owasso, Okla.; three nieces and four nephews.Viewing will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. VIRGIL BLACK HACKETT - Virgil Black, 88, of Hackett died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, in his home. He was a retired coal miner and dairy farmer.
