He was a retired first sergeant in the Army, serving in the Korean War. He received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart and was a member of the Northside Church of Christ. Funeral will be 10 a.m. today in Hall Funeral Service Memorial Chapel in Mena with burial at Romance Cemetery in Romance.
