Cox, 93, of Booneville died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, in Booneville. He was a veteran of World War II, a monument salesman for Cotner Monuments for more than 40 years and a 32nd-degree Mason. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Booneville. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in Roberts Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Booneville with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville. He is survived by his wife, Esther, and several nieces and nephews. Doris Ollie POTEAU - Doris L. Ollie, 83, of Poteau died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a bookkeeper for Ollie Lumber Company for more than 60 years and a member of First Baptist Church in Poteau. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church in Poteau with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau. She is survived by her husband, Grady; a daughter, Dolores Brown of Poteau; a son, Grady Ollie Jr. of Fort Smith; a sister, Corine "Totsy" Brown of Joshua Tree, Calif.; four grandchildren, David Ollie, Brenda Ollie Chunn, Brent Brown Sr. and Kendra Haggard; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tommy Caldwell, Allen Daniels, Cecil Staton, Jim Mixon, Lee Fout, Bob Lindstrom and Jackie Lynch. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of First Baptist Church in Poteau. Fred McBroom ALMA - Fred McBroom, 83, of Alma died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, in a local hospital. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired electrician for Lockheed Aircraft Corp. with 35 years of service and a Mason for 30 years in Lockheed, Calif. He was a member of Church of Christ. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Martha; two sons, Keith of Alma and Doug of Barling; and five grandchildren, Jacob, John, Ashley, Ariel and Keith McBroom II. Helen Gray BENTONVILLE - Helen Gray, 48, of Bentonville, formerly of Fort Smith, died Monday, April 16, 2001, in a Springdale hospital. She owned and operated "Miss Helen's Daycare" for seven years and was a member and associated with the nursery department at First United Methodist Church in Bentonville for 10 years, where she was nursery director. She was a Girl Scout Leader, a volunteer at the Bentonville Girls and Boys Club, United Way and the Cancer Challenge. She was the widow of Gary Gray. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church in Bentonville with burial at Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Stockdale Funeral Service of Bentonville. She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Gray of Whidbey Island, Wash., and Amanda Gray of Fayetteville; a son, Cory of Fayetteville; her mother and stepfather, Rena and Arthur DeForest of Hackett; a sister, Vanessa Loveland of Hackett; and two brothers, Robert Dye of Fort Smith and Jerry Dye of Greenwood. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church in Bentonville. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Helen Gray to "Havenwood," 808 N. Main, Bentonville, AR 72712. Steven Lee Baty, 22, of Fort Smith passed from this life Thursday, April 12. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2001, at 1 p.m. His body was cremated. The memorial will be held at Van Buren First Church of the Nazarene, 2520 Alma Highway. There will be burial of cremains following the service at Forest Park Cemetery on Midland Blvd. in Fort Smith. All family and friends are welcome to attend and share memories of Steven. James Lee "Jamie" McKeever, 66, of Fort Smith died Monday, April 16, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was a retired signalman for the Chicago Rock Island Railroad and a member of NRA and the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalman. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed race car driving. He was a Methodist. Graveside service will be 1 p.m. today at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Judy McKeever of the home; a niece, Jerry Lynn McKeever of Fort Smith; two sisters, Doris E. Wurz of Richland, Wash., and Gwendolyn Strassle of Fort Smith; a brother, Jerrell D. McKeever of Shariton, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia Society of America, the Gateway Chapter, 77 West Port Plaza, Suite No. 101, St. Louis, MO 63146.
