William Brooks CHARLESTON - William L. "Willie" Brooks, 62, of Charleston died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2001, in an area hospital. He was born March 20, 1939, in Fort Smith. He was a body shop worker for Treadway Body Shop in Fort Smith and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston with burial at Parks Cemetery in Charleston. He is survived by his companion, Glyndora Brooks of Charleston; a daughter, Keila Melton of Paris; two sons, Ricky and Randy, both of Paris; a brother, Buddy of Muskogee; and five grandchildren, Morgan, Haley and Tyson Brooks and Kecia and Cortney Melton. Pallbearers will be Gene Johnson, Terry O'Neal, Donald and Robert Cook and John and John R. Phillips. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
