    3. Happy Thanksgiving! These are the obituaries for today: Robin Gallardo Robin Dean Gallardo, 71, of Fort Smith died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, in Nashville, Tenn. She was a retired supervisor for the Superior Court Clerks office in Orange County, Calif. There will be no funeral service. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. She is survived by a daughter, Robin Davis of Fort Smith; a son, Brad Gallardo of Fort Smith; a sister, Polly Worster of San Diego; and three grandchildren. Robert Taff LITTLE ROCK - Robert Taff, 81, of Little Rock, formerly of Booneville, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, in Benton. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a maintenance worker at Hiram Walker and a life time member of VFW and the Elks Lodge and the Lutheran Church. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Booneville. He is survived by his wife, Twyla; two daughters, Linda Hethcock of Oregon and Diana Robertson of Arizona; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ottis Dickerson CLARKSVILLE - Ottis Troy Dickerson, 82, of Clarksville died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, in a local nursing home. He was a oil field worker and a Baptist. Funeral will be 10 a.m. today in Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville. He is survived by his wife, Jewell; a daughter, Sue Linn of Bee Branch; two sons, J.T. and Bob Dickerson, both of Clarksville; five grandchildren, Debbie Bartel of Sallisaw, Michele Estep of Clarksville, Michael Don Dickerson of Emporia, Kan., Travis Linn of Bee Branch and Leanne Waddle of Damascus; and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Glen, Raymond, Ronnie, Lonnie, Larry, Clyde and Selba Patterson and Donald Wilhelm. Jarrett Metz BOONEVILLE - Jarrett Burtis Metz, 73, of Booneville died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a veteran of World War II, a lifelong member of American Legion and the VFW and retired from State Building Services in Little Rock. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Roberts Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Booneville with burial at 1 p.m. at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Valerie; a daughter, Valoise Jarene Armstrong of Seattle; two sons, Martin Burtis Metz of Seattle and Ronald Parker Metz of Joplin, Mo.; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Jacob and Heather and one great-grandson. Arvie Lile RUSSIAVILLE, Ind. - Arvie L. Lile, 77, of Russiaville, Ind., died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, in an Indianapolis hospital. He was born Dec. 27, 1923, in Paris. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired electrician from Local Union No. 322 in Casper, Wyo., a member of Masonic Lodge in Cheyenne, Wyo., and was a Baptist and attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Kokomo, Ind. Funeral was held Nov. 15 in Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home in Kokomo, Ind. with burial at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery with full military honors by VFW Post No. 1152. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; a daughter, Dianna Wilburn of Kokomo, Ind.; two sisters, Marie Ray of Fort Smith and Mazette Kafer of Henryetta, Okla.; a halfsister, Ann Stovell of Van Buren; two grandchildren, Jeffery Brown of Russiaville, Ind., and Aarin Brantley of Kokomo, Ind.; and a great-granddaughter. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association. Zelma Chisum FALLING WATER COMMUNITY - Zelma Chisum, 74, of Falling Water Community died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, in her home. She was born Jan. 8, 1927, in Falling Water. She was a homemaker and a member of Falling Water Church. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Falling Water Church with burial at Moore Cemetery at Ben Hur under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville. She is survived by her husband, Lester; four daughters, Mary Freeman of Van Buren, Ruth Campbell of Falling Water, Rosetta Balanger of Dover and Jetta McCool of Hector; three sons, Donnie Chisum of Marshall, Ray Chisum of Gum Log and Gene Chisum of Appleton; a sister, Lou Hale of Falling Water; a brother, Toy Humphrey of Mablevale; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Clifton Griffin, Troy Collins, Charlie Lay, Charles and James Standridge and Gene Jones. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Nellie Griffith CHARLESTON - Nellie Griffith, 89, of Charleston died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, in Little Rock. She was a Free Will Baptist and the widow of Leonard Griffith. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston with burial at Morris Cemetery in Bloomer. She is survived by a son, Lewis Griffith of Lavaca a brother, John Harris of Charleston; two grandchildren, Paul Griffith of Sachse, Texas, and Jean Duffy of Chardon, Ohio and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Donald Cook, John Phillips, Ernest Shotzman, James Berry, Flenoy Luther and Justin Moore. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Charles Salmi MENA - Charles Victor "Vic" Salmi, 62, of Mena died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, in his home. He was born Feb. 15, 1939, in Dollar Bay, Mich. He served in the Army and was a maintenance worker and member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. Rosary will be 7 p.m. today in Beasley-Wood Funeral Home Chapel of Mena. Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Agnes Catholic Church in Mena. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Hancock, Mich., memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with burial at Lake Side Cemetery in Hancock, Mich. She was born Oct. 13, 1953, in Mena. She was a bookkeeper and a member of United Pentecostal Church. Pallbearers will be Raymond and Marvin Yahn, Vee Guinn, Charles Wayne Lance, Greg Peak and Dan Ward. Alta Mizell MULDROW - Alta I. Mizell, 93, of Muldrow died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a educator for 43 years, taught at Paw Paw and Roland schools and retired from Muldrow Schools after 33 years, a 60 year member of First United Methodist Church in Muldrow. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Muldrow with burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Muldrow. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Hill of Fort Smith; a granddaughter, Lynn Kelton of Fort Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Amanda Kelton of Conway and Daniel Kelton of Fort Smith. He retired in 1973 as custodian for First National Bank in Stigler and was the widower of Esther Sanders Mouser. Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Stigler First Baptist Church with burial at Stigler City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler. He is survived by a daughter, Billie Faye Mouser Reynolds of Richmond, Va.; two sons, Jack and Bobby Mouser, both of Stigler; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Arthur Kelley MANSFIELD - Arthur Kelley, 76, of Mansfield died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, in a Fort Smith nursing home. He was a retired superintendent with a sugar refinery and retired from the Orange County School District, a member of Reed Lodge No. 163 F&AM and was a Shriner. He is survived by five sisters, Vera Hayes, Grace Clarkand LaVerne Cialone, all of Fort Smith, Bea Kelley and Marie Wooten, both of Mansfield; and a brother, Bud Kelley of DeKalb, Texas.
