He was born Feb. 15, 1939, in Van Buren. He was a criminal investigator for Parkland Hospital. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Restland Abbey Chapel in Dallas. She was a charter member of the Greenhurst Family Council, founded in 1992 and a volunteer for the Franklin County Hospice. PERSON, 65, of Gilbert, Ariz., formerly of Stigler, died July 6, 2001, in Gilbert. He was a Navy veteran and a lineman for S.R.P. Alfred "Red" Smith, 65, of Van Buren, formerly of Jenny Lind, died Sunday, July 22, 2001, in a Van Buren hospital. He was the retired owner of Fort Smith Forklift Service and was an Army veteran. He was a Baptist, a 32nd degree Mason and member of Jenny Lind Lodge No. 503 F&AM, a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies and Amrita Grotto of Fort Smith. He also was a member of the American Legion Post No. 0031 of Fort Smith, the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Fort Smith Aerie No. 208, and a former Reserve Deputy Sheriff for Sebastian County.
