Jay CAGLE, 64, of Panama, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001. He was born Aug. 28, 1936 in Wister. He was retired from Whirlpool Corp. in Fort Smith after 31 years. He was a member of the Panama City Council and a Boy Scout leader for 14 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; one brother; one niece; and one granddaughter. Survivors include his wife Maxine of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Susan Cagle of Poteau and Jeff and Amy Cagle of Shady Point; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Donnie Edwards of Wister; two sisters, Virginia Corby of Heavener and Helen Odell of Amarillo, Texas; six grandchildren, Carey Cagle, Destinie Kitchens, Cara Cagle, Tiffany Nobles, Tyler Cagle and Cody Edwards; and one great-granddaughter, Candelyn Kitchens; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; a host of beloved friends. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28 at Poteau Church of Christ with Phil Powers officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau. Pallbearers will be Bill (Cotton) Ray, Bobby Martin, Wayne Bynum, Larry Vise, Elton Johnson and Billy Jackson. Thomas Dale HUGLE, 51, of Wister, died Thursday, July 26, 2001, in Poteau. He was born March 7, 1950. He was of the Baptist faith and a mechanic. Survivors include his wife Troy Faye of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Jane Hugle and Larry and Emily Hugle, all of Poteau; one brother, Les Hugle of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren, Christopher, Steven, B.J., Thomas, and Santos; numerous other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 30 in Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with the Rev. Oscar Aguero officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Station Cemetery in Wilburton under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau. Pallbearers will be Bill Smith, Gene Smith, Dan Vocque, Jeff McNeely, Ross Wylie, Steve Owens and Lewis White.
