    3. Edward Basham CLARKSVILLE - Edward Basham, 91, of Clarksville died Saturday, June 30, in a Clarksville hospital. He was born in October 1909 in Clarksville. He was a retired peach grower and carpenter, a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Clarksville High School and the College of the Ozarks. He was a track star and held several track records in both high school and college. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, where he served in the South Pacific. Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the First Presbyterian Church in Clarksville with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville, under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville. He is survived by three nephews, Stuart Basham of Piedmont, Okla., and Richard and Carey Basham, both of Houston; three nieces, Suzanne Coots and Elizabeth Gooch, both of Houston, and Sara Miller of Fort Smith; and 10 great nephews and nieces. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1068, Clarksville, AR 72830.
