Harry Calven CROWE Jr., 77, of Talihina, died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, in Oklahoma City. He was born March 5, 1924 in Chattanooga, Tenn. to Harry Calven Crowe Jr. and Edista Crowe. He married Margaret Brannon April 8, 1965 in Lafayette, Ga. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Dorothy Crowe. Survivors include his wife Margaret of the home; two sons, Ronnie Crowe and Leon Crowe, both of Savannah, Ga.; two granddaughters, Cherie Baugh and Crystal Lowe, both of Talihina; several other grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Derryberry of Lafayette, Ga. and several cousins and friends. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23 in the New Talihina City Cemetery with the Rev. Carrol Fitzgerald officiating. Services are under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home. Eugene Clyde SAGE, 66, of Talihina, died Tuesday, June 19, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was born Jan. 12, 1935 in Buffalo Valley to Clyde and Opal Watson Sage. He married Virgie Marie Melton Aug. 8, 1954 at Talihina. He was a resident of the Talihina area for most of his life and was a member of the Buffalo Valley Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Delphia Foutch; and one brother, Darrell Sage. Survivors include his wife Virgie of the home; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Regina and Larry Kennedy of Buffalo Valley, Diana Williams of McAlester and Debra and Lane Pullman of Muse; five grandchildren, Jason Kennedy of Buffalo Valley, Raymond and Carrie Kennedy of Muse, Justin Williams and Kristen Williams, both of McAlester; three brothers and four sisters, Freda Higgason of Fresno, Calif., Claudean Erdner of Sand Springs, Clyda Hunter and Sid Sage of Talihina, Sylvia Sage of Quapaw and Bob Sage of Oraville, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 22 at the Buffalo Valley Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Lloyd Earp, Chester Cooley and Jerry Don Earp officiating. Burial will follow at the Sage Family Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
