The full obituary for Gentry: FRENCH GENTRY French M. Gentry, 76, of Fort Smith died Saturday, June 2, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church, a retired employee of Rheem and a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Grace; a daughter, Patricia Ann Drymon of Fort Smith; a son, Mike Allen Gentry of Fort Smith; and four grandchildren, Amanda Cheesman, John Aaron and Rachel and Jeremy Drymon. The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
