    2. Dinah WALKER, 81, of Okmulgee, died Sunday, June 17, 2001. She was born Aug. 31, 1919 in Muse to James Mings and Ida Janes. She married Jimmie Giacomo in 1946. In 1974 she married Lester Walker. She was a Talihina resident for 37 years and a member of the Whitesboro Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband in 1971 and her second husband in 1996; her parents; two brothers, James and Elzie Mings; four sisters, Okla Mings, Tannie Linville, Dessie Thompson and Eble Ramsey. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Tom Walker of Portland, Ore.; two granddaughters, Martha Larson and Lisa Walker; one great-grandson, Drew Larson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 21 at the Whitesboro Baptist Church with the Rev. Caroll Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow at Whitesboro Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home. Elva M. HARRIS, 74, of Heavener, died Tuesday, June 19, 2001. She was a long-time resident of the area, and a member of the Petros Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Philemon Ray and Bea Harris; one daughter, Gayla Sue Heflin; and one son, D.L. Ray Sr. Survivors include one daughter, Maxine Luce of Heavener; two sons, Harold Ray and wife Tina of Heavener and Carl Ray and wife Kelly of McAlester; one sister, Lois Holton of Claremore; one brother, Virgil Lord of Heavener; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; 13 great-grandchildren. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 22 at Oakdale Cemetery in Heavener under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener. Roy A. BRADFORD, 72, of Poteau, died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, in Muskogee. He was born June 30, 1928 in Tanganoxie, Kan. He was a food manager and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Survivors include his wife Jeannie of the home; one daughter, Sharon White of Morgan Hill, Calif.; two sons, David Bradford and Jeff Bradford of Calispell; one sister, Joyce Perdue of Oregon; two brothers, Dick Bradford of Oregon and Morris Bradford of Calispell, Mont.; one grandson; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and loved ones and a host of beloved friends. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 22 at Fairhill (Knothole) Cemetery in Cameron with the Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Services are under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
