I just happened to have the day off and your email got to me first. Thank you again. Carrie Thomas-Dominguez Lawrence, Kansas Wayne Thomas HARRISON - Wayne M. Thomas, 79, of Harrison, formerly of Lavaca, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, in Harrison. He was born May 17, 2001, in Lavaca. He was a retired Civil Service employee at Fort Chaffee, he trained bird dogs and was a member of the Westark Field Trial Association and was a member of Lavaca First Baptist Church. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church in Lavaca with burial at Oak Valley Cemetery south of Lavaca under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston. He is survived by his wife, Wyema; two sons, Ronnie Thomas of Conway and Lawrence Thomas of Fort Smith; three sisters, Bessie Ashworth and Ruby Wadsworth, both of Fort Smith and Gladys McCrory of Lavaca; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Sean, Bradley and Mike Thomas, Kevin Richardson, Jimmy Lee, Jay Billingsley, Woody and Rayburn Green. The body may be viewed 2 p.m. today until funeral hour. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
