He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the Ninth Street Baptist Church with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Delores of Baltimore; a daughter, Sharla May of Joplin, Mo.; a son, Steven May of Coffeyville, Kan.; two stepsons, Omar and Gregory Senior, both of Baltimore; seven sisters, Patricia Alexander of Baltimore, Doris Freeman, Brenda Williams and Bertha Davis, all of Fort Smith, Linda Richardson and Deloris Thomas, both of Oklahoma City, and Janice Murry of Kansas City, Kan.; three brothers, Michael and Wayne Murrry, both of Oklahoma City and Alan Murry of Tampa, Fla. Pallbearers will be Clarence, Claude, Clifford and Andy May, Timothy Freeman Jr. and Leo Good.
