ANDREW COSTNER, 87, of Poteau, died Thursday, March 22, 2001. He was born May 6, 1913. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II. He was a Mason and long time member of the First Baptist Church of Poteau, a deacon there, having been ordained years ago at Mt. Pleasant. He was also in soil conservation service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Inetta Costner, September 1999. Survivors include one sister, Helen Luper of Molalla, Ore.; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and loved ones and many beloved friends. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24 at First Baptist Church in Poteau with the Rev. Phil McGehee officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Heavener under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home of Poteau. Pallbearers will be Ed Abernathy, Gary Howell, Haskell Nobles, Floyd Simmons, Curtis Moren, John Spurgin, Willie Dowell, Kenneth Ferguson, and Finis Sturgeon. BOBBY LEWIS WILLIAMS, 62, of Pocola, died Thursday, March 22, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was a retired truck driver for Arkansas Oklahoma State Gas Corp. He is survived by his wife Mary Louise Williams of the home; one daughter, Angelia Edwards of Pocola; two sons, Lewis Elmer Williams of Pocola and Oscar Dewayne Williams of Riverside, Calif.; one brother, Paul Ernest Karl of Pocola; eight grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24 at Christian Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Pocola. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery near Spiro under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Pallbearers will be Robert Williams, Robert Bean, Dale Karl, Noah Kennedy, Andy Self, Raymond Tankersley and Wayne Bean. copyright © 2001
