    2. THE REV J P BALDWIN, 83, of Poteau, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001 in Salinas, Calif. He was born in Wister and lived in Salinas for 11 years before moving back to Oklahoma. He spend 50 years in the ministry in California, Texas, and Kansas. He was as retired minister and former associate pastor of Echoes from Calvary Pentecostal Church of God. He enjoyed fishing and golfing. He attended Calvary Assembly of Poteau the last 10 years of his life. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alma Lee Baldwin in 1983. Survivors include his wife Ruby Baldwin of Poteau; two daughters, Darlene Baldwin of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Paula Baldwin of San Jose, Calif.; two sons, Gene Baldwin of Oakhurst, Calif. and John P. Baldwin III of Salinas, Calif.; three stepsons, Winford Webb of Poteau, Roger Webb of Broken Arrow and Bob Webb of Gans; two sisters, Evelyn Eudaley of Olathe, Kan. and Hazel Marsh of Wetumka; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services were at 1 p.m. Monday, March 5 at Church of the Rock in Salinas, Calif. Burial followed at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Salinas. ANNISE D HALL, 89, of Heavener, died Monday, March 12, 2001. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Wister. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph J. Hall Sr.; and one son, William B. Higel. Survivors include three daughters, Eva R. Judd of Heavener, Edna M. Pittser and Ruby S. Hall, both of Howe; three sons, Clarence Judd of Heavener, James E. Judd of Novato, Calif., and Dale Higel of Frankford, Del.; three stepsons, Thomas E. Hall of Panama, Warner B. Hall of Fanshawe and Ralph Joseph Hall Jr. of Independence, Kan.; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 15 at Wister Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Wister under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener. VIRGINIA "GIN" FOX, 72, of Shady Point, died Sunday, March 11, 2001 in Tahlequah. She was born Feb. 5, 1929 to Richard and Viola (Lovell) Watts in Walls. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She married her husband of 52 years, Myrle “Sonny” Fox May 5, 1948 in Van Buren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, R.V. Watts; two sisters, Katherine Watts Moore and Una Maye Watts; and a grandson, Peyton Levi Farrar.Survivors include her husband; three daughters and sons-in-law, Willam and Butch Morgan of Fort Gibson, Medenna and Michael Walton of Ardmore, Redenna and Randy Farrar of Shady Point; four sisters, Ina Fern Doyle of Sand Springs, Dollie Underwood of Spiro, Angella Faye Bryant of Dallas, and Mary Ann Mangrum of Tulsa; two brothers, Arnol V. Watts of Cameron and Jesse Ray Watts of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, Krystal and Randy Cox of Checotah, Deallen Walton of Ardmore, Miranda Barcheers of Shady Point, and Brett and Ryan Farrar of Shady Point; two great-grandchildren, Randy Wayne Cox and Rayne Cox, both of Checotah; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends. Services will be at 2 p.m Thursday, March 15 at First Assembly of God Church in Panama with the Revs. Willis Watts and Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Watts Family Cemetery in Shady Point under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home of Poteau. VERNIE LEE LOVELL, 83, of Spiro, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, in Muskogee. He was born Dec. 3, 1917 at Hackett to Oren and Aurie Roberts Lovell. He was a veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, his parents and two brothers, Odell and Bill Lovell. Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Monks of Calhoun; four sons, Claudie Lovell of Fort Smith, James Lovell of May Pearl, Texas, Thomas Lovell of Spiro, and Jimmy Lovell of Stigler; four sisters, Onita Brandon of Pocola, Bobbie Carter of Spiro, Marie Higgins of Fort Smith, and Bonnie Higgins of Pocola; five brothers, Oren Lovell Jr. of Spiro, Harold Lovell of Pocola, Lloyd Lovell of Fort Smith, Kenneth Lovell of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jim Lovell of Hackett; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 16 at the Murry Spur Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. C.L. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro. JORGE ANTONIO ZEPEDA, of Poteau, passed away March 12, 2001. He was born March 12, 2001 in Poteau. He is survived by his parents, Jorge Zepeda and Nancy Flores; one sister, Crystal Zepeda of the home; and his paternal grandmother, Consuelo Zepeda of Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, at the Oakland Cemetery Pavilion in Poteau with the Reverend Cecil Staton officiating. Burial will follow in the Babyland section of Oakland Cemetery in Poteau. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. MARY S EASTMAN, 90, of Poteau, died Monday, March 12, 2001. She was born May 21, 1910 in Hartford to James F. and Frances Chapman. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was a very happy loving person who loved everyone and everything. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Juanita R. Montgomery. Survivors include her granddaughter, Deborah Ishmael of Poteau; two great-grandsons; four great-great-grandsons; a very, very, very special friend, Jeanne Reed of Poteau; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 15 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with the Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemtery under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home of Poteau. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 14 at Spiro Baptist Church for MARY OLETA BARNES.
