Dannie Lyons Dannie May Lyons, 51, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, in a local hospital. She was an electrical inspector at Whirlpool and a member of Union Baptist Church in Pocola. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Pocola High School gymnasium with burial at Laird Cemetery in Pocola under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith. She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Sorrells of Gaston, S.C., and Christa Maria Bennett of Corpus Cove, Texas; her mother, Lillie Mae Lyons of Pocola; six sisters, Paula Mae Kirksey of Pocola, Florence Woods and Martha Lee, both of Fort Smith, Jean Lyons of Hinesville, Ga., Bertha Jean Clayton of Spiro and Georgia Young of California; five brothers, James Wesley Lyons and Johnny Lyons, both of Fort Smith, Charles Wesley Lyons and Julius Lyons, both of Pocola, and Gabriel Lyons of Sallisaw; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers will be James Wesley Lyons, Gabriel, Johnny and Anthony Lyons, James Sorrells and John Clayton.
