Dessie Liles SALLISAW - Dessie Barrett Liles, 86, of Sallisaw died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, in Sallisaw. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in Mallory Funeral Home Chapel of Sallisaw with burial at Akins Cemetery in Akins. She is survived by three daughters, Sue Turpen of Sallisaw; a stepdaughter, Dora G. Ponce; a son, James Barrett of Sallisaw; a stepson, Marion Liles of Tulsa; a sister, Bertha Randle of Richland, Wash.; a brother, Andy Moody of Sallisaw; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a special friend, Versa Johnston of Sallisaw. Pallbearers will be Jesse and Craig Barrett, Darrell Tabor, Ben Glover, Duane Martindale and Justin Mahurin. The body may be viewed at the funeral home.
