CURTIS SPENCER SOLOMON, 92, of Spiro died Saturday, March 3, 2001. He was born Sept. 7, 1908 in Rio Grande, Texas. He was a farmer. Survivors include four daughters, Edna Hovey of Fanshawe, Dortha James of Cameron, Mildred Davis of Park Hill, Louise Jordan of Spiro; four sons, Curtis Solomon of Spiro, Harold Solomon of Cameron, E.J. Solomon of Spiro, Joe Solomon of Spiro; three sisters, Mildred Christopher, Velma Lee Smith, Charlene Gray, all of Tulsa; three brothers, Milard Solomon of Tulsa, Walter Solomon of Tulsa, J.C. Solomon of Tulsa; 38 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren; 25 greatgreat-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; a host of beloved friends. Services were at 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, at the 1st Assembly of God Church of Panama with the Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Pallbearers were Frankie Joe Solomon, Pete Solomon, Teddy Solomon, Chris McClour, Rocky Calhoun, and Joe Don Dunn. BBOBBY C HALL, 76, of Poteau, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was born Sept. 28, 1924 in Poteau. He was retired from NAPA Parts. Mr. Hall was a member of the Double Branch Baptist Church; a lifetime member of World War II subvets; a Korean War veteran; owner of Bob’s NAPA Parts for approximately 15 years. He married Oma Jean Himes on Aug. 27, 1945. Survivors include his wife of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Taylor Hall of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Kitty Lynn Friesen of Fort Worth; one grandson. Jason Friesen of Fort Worth, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Effie Hall of Eugene, Ore.; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends. He was born Sept. 28, 1906 in Arkansas. He was a farmer. She was born April 17, 1927 in Whitesboro to George Washington Morgan and Myrtle Mae Davis. She has been a resident of Talihina for 43 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chester V. Lanning; three brothers, Thomas and Virgle Woods and Epton Morgan; two sisters, Sister Woods and Annalee Williams; and one grandson, Scott Lanning. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Helen Lanning of Katy, Texas; one daughter, Donna Cochran of Millington, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Brian, Marc, and Chris Lanning, Joeseph and Jennifer Bennett, Brandy and Zachary Cochran and Jackie Austin; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. HAROLD "DUTCH" SHUPERT , 72, of Heavener, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, in Poteau. He was a lifelong resident of Heavener, a member of the Heavener Christian Church, the Heavener Masonic Lodge, Chamber of Commerce, owner and operator of Shupert's Service Station - retiring in 1999, and a former member of the Heavener City Council. Survivors include his companion, Jean Sedore of Heavener; one daughter, Katrina Sparks and husband Jimmy of Norman; one son, Kenny Shupert and wife Linda, Central City, Ark.; one sister, Irma Russell of Medford, Ore.; two brothers, Calvin Shupert of Sacramento, Calif., and James "Bo" Shupert of Heavener; and several nieces and nephews; three grandchildren. JAMES SIMS "ORVILLE" TIFFEE, 85, of Heavener, died Sunday, March 4, 2001, in McAlester. He was a lifelong resident of Heavener and a member of the First Baptist Church, a member of the United Trainsmen Union, a retired conductor from the KCS Railroad, and a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was preceded in death by his first wife Maxine and one son, Joe Lee Tiffee. Survivors include one daughter, Darlene Shadwick and husband, M.C. of Heavener; two sons, Jim Tiffee and wife Debbie of Poteau and Bill Tiffee of Norman; daughter-in-law Olean Tiffee of Heavener; eight grandchildren, Mark Shadwick, Darla Williams, Jody Tiffee, Rob Tiffee, Jason Tiffee, Jamey Tiffee, Colby Tiffee, and Tracy Perry; 18 great-grandchildren. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Heavener under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener. CYRIL CURTIS MOORE, 92, of Poteau, died Sunday, March 4, 2001. He was a retired coal miner. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by one son, John Moore. Survivors include his wife Elizabeth of the home; one son, Phillip Moore of Muldrow; one sister, Maggie Efurd of Witcherville, Ark.; one brother, Quinton Moore of Fayetteville, Ark.; three grandchildren, Johnathan, Zachary, and Levi Moore. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 6 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Ark. Burial will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery in Dayton, Ark. under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
