Possible correction: I graduated from Ft. Smith Hi School in 1954, and there was no Joe Riddle in that class. In view of the fact that he was Catholic, I suspect he would have graduated from St. Anne's Catholic High School. In 1954, the majority of Catholics attended St. Anne's, not FSHS. If you need to verify this, the Ft. Smith Library would have year books for FSHS. I don't recall if they have St. Anne's or not. Hope this helps.
