The following is the complete obit of Martindale: Sherman Martindale Jr., 65, of Van Buren died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, in Cowlington, Okla. He was a former owner operator of Sherman's Grocery, a cattleman and farmer and a member of the Crawford County Cattleman's Association. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday in Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Cowlington Cemetery in Cowlington, Okla. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; four daughters, Robin Moore, Cindy Mizell, Tammy Flynn and Dana Davis, all of Van Buren; his mother, Lucille Martindale of Cowlington; one sister, Sue Shakingbush of Cowlington; and seven grandchildren, Nicholas and Bradford Moore, Kris and Kolby Kendrick, Katy and Ivy Mizell and Bailey Smith all of Van Buren. Pallbearers will be Toby Breeden, Wally Hays, Dr. B.C. Criswell, Larry Spiller, Raymond Akins and Davis Kelly. The family will visit with friends 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
