She was a teacher, a member of Tennessee Trails Hiking Club, the National Audubon Society, a volunteer at Customs House Museum in Clarksville and a member of Christian Science Church. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Ninth Street Baptist Church with burial of cremains at Oak Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Stoddard Torrey of Kentucky and Stacey Stoddard of Austin, Texas; one sister, Kay Cowan of Fort Smith; four brothers, Ray and Bill Cowan, both of Fort Smith, and Steve and Bob Cowan, both of Dallas; and two grandchildren.
