He was an electronics repairman, a member of the First Baptist Church of Mena and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Old Dallas Cemetery under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena. LEO SPEER STIGLER - Leo Speer, 78, of Stigler died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, in Stigler. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Stigler VFW, Masonic Lodge and Bedoine Shrine. He was a former Haskell County sheriff, barber and rancher. He was part of the Normandy invasion on D-Day during World War II.Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in Mallory Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Garland Cemetery in Stigler. MELISSA WOODARD Melissa Jean Woodard, 25, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, in a local hospital. Burial of cremated remains will be later in Florida. THURSTON MASTERS BENTONVILLE - The Rev. Thurston H. Masters, 89, of Bentonville died Jan. 19, 2001, in a Springdale hospital. He was retired from the ministry, having served 38 years as a pastor in Cave City, Mountain View, Jonesboro, Tyronza, Bentonville, Dewitt and Fort Smith. He was a 33rd degree Mason and a member of Masonic Lodge 56.Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First United Methodist Church in Bentonville with burial at Bentonville City Cemetery, under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Service of Bentonville. He is survived by his wife, Tracy Lee Masters; two daughters, Sue Tonsing and Joy Moser, both of Bentonville; three sons, Thad of Russellville, Tommy of Albertville, Ala., and Larry of Bentonville; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. . HAROLD HALL Harold W. Hall, 71, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was a Methodist, the retired owner of Harold's Tire Shop, an Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was active in the National Guard and worked to get flags donated to the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. today at U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Burial will be with honors by the VFW District 7 Burial Detail.
