Mary, thanks! Yes I am more confused than ever, (big grin), but your information has really helped. It does seem that the James H. Sellers that was on the 1860 Sebastian, Sugarloaf Township Census is not the same James H. Sellers that is on the 1880 Freestone Co. TX census, unless James had two different wives and families in two different states and was able to get from one state (Alabama) to the other State (Arkansas) in time to show up on both the Alabama and the Arkansas censuses for 1860. :~) . But I do believe the Alabama and the Feeestone, TX james are one and the same. Now if I can only prove that the "Jinny" in the James H. Sellers household for 1880 Freestone Co. TX is the same Jannie A. Sellers who married T. M. Dobbs in Hunt County, TX on August 24, 1890. If so, she would have been about 14 when she married. Did girls get married at 14 back then? I don't suppose there is a 1990 census for TX, Arkansas, or Alabama? Thanks again for your help, I will add you to my growing list of Angels on this site.
