Hello to All:) I got a virus at Christmas time, it like to have drove me nuts... But, Carolyn is right about McAfee.com- their software does a tremendous job in deleting these new viruses. I thought, when this happened to me, that the pre installed factory Virus scan software would take care of any problem. I found out, the hard way, that new viruses come out every day... and if you get a virus that was produced after your exsisting anti virus software, you will get "infected"... I hope Rose is able to get this fixed. If anyone else faces this problem, let me know. We need to try and figure out the source of this virus, if many of our members get infected... Let me know if I can help you <anytime, any reason:)) >... Best wishes from Oklahoma's Choctaw Nation, Suzy Johnson, Pocola, OK, "arsebast-l@rootsweb.com" - List Manager

Suzy, I am still receiving the attachments from Rose Cunningham with the same obit that I have sent out on the ARSEBAST...line through Rootsweb. The message comes from Rose ....cunningham1234@email.msn.com. I am writing her again, by copy of this email to you. Anything she writes from here on out will contain the virus attachment until...she either uses McAfee.com to delete and clean it up. ** To ROSE CUNNINGHAM Rose, all that is coming through when you attempt to send EMAIL out is the SAME message I have sent to YOU.....Then at the base of the email I sent to you....is 'TAKE A LOOK AT THE ATTACHMENT"....(my outlook express mail program is blocking the attachment because it is contaminated with a virus) You need to go on an internet site of http://www.mcafee.com After you click onto the site ....ON the right will be virus scan (inserted in light blue box with several other options.) Click on VIRUS SCAN...that will take you to a page that shows some other options in the MIDDLE of the page.....click on SCAN....the page that comes up will allow you to click on RIGHT side where it says, NOT A SUBSCRIBER....Try first......click on that...then run the scan on ALL LOCAL DRIVES & FOLDERS..... This will show where the virus is....with this...you CANNOT delete or clean up your file...but you will have to buy the program and do the deleting on line and cleaning in order to get rid of it. I hope this gets through to you because if I knew your telephone # I would call......My phone # is 501-452-1536. I wish you the best of luck because until you get this clean and deleted out of your files...NONE of your messages will get through. Carolyn WARNING: On Sebastian County Lines....if you receive a message from anyone of your emailers ...WITH your email you sent to THEM.....DON'T OPEN THE ATTACHMENT. IT IS THE VIRUS attachment and will spread throughout your email addresses. I know we don't generally talk about other things than genealogy, but this Sebastian County line may have been infected with a virus through our emails. I have a server which automatically blocks incoming ATTACHMENTS that are infected. I received two from the same person today, with my message written in the message window, and then at the bottom there was ONE MORE sentence....."Take a look at the attachment". The attachment that was sent read" .....images, pif"..... I am in process of waiting for the subscriber to get in touch with me. My email...Outlook Express 2000 is NOT infected....because the server blocked the attachment from coming through. If any of you have had the same problem...let me know. I also have written...McAfee Virusshield about this. I have not received an answer from them yet. For those wanting to know where certain cemeteries are located in Sebastian Co. Ark., or any place in the USA for that matter, You can find most, if not all, shown on a computer program like "TRAVEL MAPS, USA". They come on a CD, and are very inexpensive (I think I paid $9.00 for mine), and are available at a store like K-Mart, or WalMart. The programs are easy to use, and there is a vast amount of information included. Good luck......C.R. "Wil" Wilburn cwilburn@montana.com
