He lived and worked for many years in Fort Smith, driving a delivery truck. His wife was Leola (Reed) Lassiter. His daughter was Virgie, who married Easterbrook, then remarried later to unknown. His sons were Clemmen, Cecil, and Theldred Otto. Theldred was my grandfather. He married Pearl Springer and they lived in Hollywood California during part of the depression. Winifred Louise "Bunch" Tankersley, 73, of Pocola, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker and attended Pocola Christian Fellowship Church. She was preceded in death by one son, Billie Wayne Tankersley Jr. Survivors include her husband Billie Wayne Tankersley of the home; one daughter, Judith Peters; one son, Michael Tankersley, both of Pocola; one sister, Thelma Zielinski of Detroit, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 11 at Steep Hill Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, Ark.
