Hello list. Try to find the parents of Ell Glenn Daniels, born 23 Febr.1925 and lived in Sebastian County AR. Thank you Fietje Quaedvlieg [email protected]
Gary, I could not find your email address in my list of emails received, so I will have to take this way of saying a big, big thank you for the Census images you sent and all the extra effort you did to find the Sellers in Arkansas and Texas. There were several of you that responsed and I really appreciate it. Certainly a bunch of nice people on this site. I was trying to link the James H. Sellers and Robert Sellers on the 1860 Sebastian County, Sugarloaf Township to the following James H. Sellers: 1880 CENSUS - FREESTONE, TX James H. Sellers, born 1829 in Alabama, age 51. Farmer. White. Father's place of birth: NC, Mother's place of birth:TN Disey S. Sellers, wife. Age 35. White. Born in TN. Keeping house. Father's place of birth unknown. Mother's place of birth unknown. Children: George Sellers, son, age 22. Born in Alabama. Mother's place of birth: Alabama (Note: the above Dicey S. Sellers must be George's step-mother) Robert Sellers, son, age 6. Born in Texas. Mother's place of birth: TN. Jinny Sellers, age 4, born in Texas. Mother's place of birth: TN I was pretty sure they were one and the same, but the period between 1860 and 1880 is 20 years, not ten, so James H. Sellers would have been age 61, not 51. Also, since George is listed as age 22 on the 1880 Freestone County, TX Census, he should have shown up in the household of the James H. Sellers on the 1860 Sebastian county, Sugarloaf Township. Unless, his full name was George Alfred Sellers and he is the 2 year old Alfred on the 1860 census. The problem with that is Alfred is listed as being born in AR, and George is listed as being born in AL, with his mother being born in AL, rather than NC. Like you, I have been unable to find any track of either James H. or Robert Sellers on the 1870 Census for either AR or TX. Sure wish I could. Thanks again for your help, and for the John and Sophronia Sellers you found in Texas. Jo Ann
James does not show up on the 1870 Census in Sugar Loaf Township. Just checked for you. No Robert Sellers shows up on the 1870s census either. deborah ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jo Ann Whitworth" <[email protected]> To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, July 15, 2007 7:03 PM Subject: [ARSEBAST] 1860 and 1870 Census, Sugarloaf Township,Sebastian County, AR > Does anyone have the above censuses? Does anyone have the above censuses? I am looking for the household of James H. Sellers, age 41, born in Alabama, and Robert Sellers, age 28, born in Alabama. Would the households be included on those censuses, or just the head of family? I know James H. and Robert Sellers were on the 1860 Sugarloaf Township census for Sebastian county but I am not sure if they show up on the 1870 one. Any help with the above would be greatly appreciated. Jo Ann

Possible correction: I graduated from Ft. Smith Hi School in 1954, and there was no Joe Riddle in that class. In view of the fact that he was Catholic, I suspect he would have graduated from St. Anne's Catholic High School. In 1954, the majority of Catholics attended St. Anne's, not FSHS. If you need to verify this, the Ft. Smith Library would have year books for FSHS. I don't recall if they have St. Anne's or not. Hope this helps.
