Sarah Elizabeth Jane MARTIN 1883, Searcy Co., Arkansas. Sarah is the dau. of William M. MARTIN and have traced the MARTIN family back to Wayne Co., TN. Hoping to prove or disprove that Thompson is the son of Joseph HAYS in Wayne Co., TN. Thompson and his brother, John H. HAYES were in Searcy Co., Arkansas on the 1880 census. The 1870 census in Wayne Co., TN lists a John and Thomas in the family of Joseph and Elizabeth A. HAYS that seem to fit what I currently know. Thompson later moved to Franklin Co., Arkansas.
