The Yarbroughs that live just out of Harrison believe that Robert Lee Yarbrough's father was a W. F. Yarbrough listed on the 1848 Searcy Co. taxes list which James Johnson prepared. This was a small booklet of people who paid, as I best recall a poll tax,, from apx. 1840 thru 1850. We concluded Mary Janes must have married the W. F. Yarbrough because there is no Robert Yarbrough listed in 1848 the year that Robert Lee was born in Searcy County. We concluded that a Robert Yarbrough that was listed on those tax lists was perhaps the father/uncle of the W. F. Yarbrough, Absolem Yarbrough, and I believe a James Yarbrough that were listed in earlier years. Absolem left in apx. 1846 for Texas as well as the James and we concluded that the older Robert Yarbrough must have died leaving the W. F. Yarbrough the only one that could have been married to Mary Jane Price. Jimmie Yarbrough has all the information and lives just south of Harrison. James Johnson would know how to contact her.
