Mary Jane married Mr. Stone probably 1851 but it lasted only a very short time and the story goes in our family that they had a tiff (not sure if legally divorced) and she got in the wagon with her two children and returned to Searcy County where she had the third child, Charles Stone. I have talked with the descendants of a Charles Stone in Bell Co. Texas who is most likely the father of this baby but they are unaware of any marriage to Mary Jane so perhaps the court house blew away as well as there are no records of a divorce and no information about the death/burial of Mary Janes husband, nameless Yarbrough.
