Janie, I've been reviewing Google finds on the net for the Buffalo River country. It whets my appetite for the book. Looks like some more beautiful country I've never seen otherwise. GGpa Stone and his Hancock neighbors homesteaded there in the very late 1800s. People may find it interesting that the current Assessor was very helpful to me in locating that ol' homestead in modern terms.
