I am descended from Elijah and Elisha Hunter who lived in Richland Township in 1910 - 1940's. Elisha's death cert. says that the closest town is Point Peter and I have info that they are buried in Nars cemetary.

    3. You might go to the www.topozone website and query Point Peter. It was a post office and store and school on the West bank of Richland Creek in western Searcy County. Also the Narrows (pronounced Nars) cemetery is close to the mouth of Richland where it flows into the uffalo River. It is on a hill on the north end of 'the Narrows' which is a isthmus of high ground between the Richland valley and the Buffalo River. Over the years the two streams have washed away the higher ground leaving a narrow neck of high ground with 60 foot (more or less) bluffs on each side. And, yes, it is Narrow. The Narrows Cemetery is on National Park land, and I think that the Narrows Cemetery is included in Ruby Lacy & CL Boyd cemetery books.
