Hi Kathy: My husband's line is connected with your John Wesley (b. 1841). This is the information that I have. Re John Wesley Lay b. 12 Apr 1840 Wayne Co., Tenn.; d. 17 Dec 1913 Calexico, Calif. Married Martha Cotton abt 1892 in Marshall, Arkansas His parents are John Wesley Lay b. 1813 Wayne Co., Tenn. and Mary Stanfield. Re John Wesley Lay b. 23 Oct 1841 Wayne Co., Tenn.; d. 1932, Prue, Oklahoma. Married Charlotte Horton abt 1840. The last census I found John on was in Osage Co., Oklahoma in 1920. At that time is was living with his son John and his wife Anna and family. He was 78 years old. I have not tried to find him in 1930 since that census was indexed. His parents are James Arthur Lay, Jr. b. 6 Jan 1822 Wayne Co. Tenn.; d 8 Dec 1898 Tomahawk, Searcy Co., Arkansas. Both John Wesley Lay (1813) and James Arthur Lay (1822) are brothers - sons of James Arthur Lay Sr. and Frances J. Thompson. Regards, Carol Lay
