I knew that "Aunt Linnie" had married a Cole, but I thought it was Dr Samuel's son, James. This proved to me that she had married the father, Samuel. Samuel married Lucinda Malinda Sullivan, about 1863/1864, and had two children to survive into adulthood: Tennessee Belle Cole, b Nov 25, 1864 and Sarah Priscilla Cole, b May 5, 1867. Lucinda Malinda Sullivan had previously been married to George A Yates, who was killed/died a Confederate soldier in April 1862, leaving "Aunt Linnie" with a daughter Mary A Yates, born Feb 11, 1861.
