The Searcy County Ancestor Fair is a wonderful Fair - you have "Sideshows" (workshops) on Friday with a Mixer Dinner (everyone mixes and mingles for a few hours, along with eating their dinner) Friday evening. Then on Sat. there is the Fair - where everyone exchanges information about their kin in Searcy Co., back till the beginning of it in the early 1800's. Some info back into the late 1700's. I have been attending it for about 10 years now, I live in AZ - so it is quite a trip for me - but it has been well worth the effort. You would really enjoy it and would have a good time finding your Roots in Searcy County - so please try to attend this year. It is ALWAYS the first weekend of June. ----- Original Message ----- From: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com To: ARSEARCY-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Sunday, January 07, 2007 7:57 AM Subject: Re: [ARSEARCY] Searcy County Ancestor Fair This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.
