    3. Ancestry.com has the Arkansas death index 1914-1950. Itsays that there's a George Shipman who died 21 Mar 1917 in Garland County. There's also a Marthie Shipman who died the day before. Garland county isn't very close to Searcy or Boone, though. - Heather http://surgerysupport.uchicago.edu/hblair/ On Thu, 10 May 2007, Janie wrote: > Dewayne and others: > I need some input on how to find out what county someone died. > His name is George Morgan Shipman born TN Jan 25, 1845 and death date Oct > 12, 1917 on tombstone. 3. Thanks Heather, I saw that when I first sent for his death certificate, but since Morgan was living in Prairie, Boone county and buried in Boone county, with a different death date on tombstone I don't think that was him, but may send for that certificate just to make sure. I wonder if it is possible that there is a death certificate on record and the death not indexed, probably not. Everyone's help deeply appreciated Janie ----- Original Message ----- From: "heather e blair" <h431@uchicago.edu> To: <arsearcy@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, May 10, 2007 10:13 AM Subject: Re: [ARSEARCY] Morgan Shipman death > Ancestry.com has the Arkansas death index 1914-1950. 3. Hi Janie, Since there is also that other Shipman who died in the same county the day before, I wonder if they had a car accident. Or did they catch the beginning of the 'flu epidemic -- but I thought that would be more 1918 and 1919. Good luck finding out more! - Heather http://surgerysupport.uchicago.edu/hblair/ On Thu, 10 May 2007, Janie wrote: > Thanks Heather, > I saw that when I first sent for his death certificate, but since Morgan was > living in Prairie, Boone county and buried in Boone county, with a different > death date on tombstone I don't think that was him, but may send for that > certificate just to make sure.
