I remember some recent postings on a James Melton. I did not save or really read because not my line. However in reading and editing a history of the Eli Sooter/Stacey Adams family I noticed James Melton was a witness on a deed involving the Sooter family. This was in Carroll County, TN. Thought this might be of some interest to the Melton researchers. Judy
