Here is what I have as given to me by other researchers: John Parks born circa 1644 in Ireland and no spouse given. His son, Thomas Parks born between 1670-1675 in Old Rappahanock Co. Virginia and married Sarah Miller, daughter of Simon Miller, no marriage date given. Thomas died March 12,1761 in Albermarle Co. Virginia. Their son, Charles Parks, Sr. was born circa 1716 in Essex Co. Virginia and about 1739 in Elbert Co. Georgia he married Susannah (surname unknown) who was born circa 1714. Charles Parks, Sr. died circa 1784 in Elbert Co. Georgia. Their son, Charles Parks, Jr. was born about 1744 in Albermarle Co. Virginia and died November 2, 1806 in Elbert County, Georgia. His spouse was named Mary Salmons. Their children were: (1)Theophelus Parks born July 12,1781 in Elbert Co. GA and on April 9,1807 in Williamson, Tennessee he married Mary Polly Lyons. Theophelus Parks died circa 1853 in Searcy Co. Arkansas. (2) Mary Parks born November 25,1783 and married Benjamin Bobo. I have no further information on either of them. (3) Marshall Parks born August 5, 1787 in Elbert Co. GA and on March 17,18(looks like 1802, but can't be sure) married Mary H. Williams in Elbert Co. GA. Marshall died December 5,1870 in Rids, Missouri Son of Theophelus Parks and Mary "Polly" Lyons is Gibson W. Parks born December 25,1811 in Hickman County, Tennessee and in 1830 married Annis Dickey who was born in North Carolina in 1810. Gibson W. died 1870. Gibson W. and Annis Dickey Parks had 7 children that I am aware of and Mary L. Parks was the seventh one.(Mary L. Parks wife of Abner Adams was the mother of Robert GIBSON and Sintha ANNIS, her mother and father's names) Her brother, Robert Taylor Parks, born February 6,1848 in Canaan, Searcy Do. AR married on June 6,1872 Malinda Eleanor Ellen Horton in Canaan. Robert Taylor Parks died December 15,1887 in Canaan. Sister of Mary L. Parks was Tennessee A.(Annis?) Parks born April 25,1849 and who on September 6,1867 married William Winthrop "Thomas" Horton. Tennessee A. Parks Horton died September 5,1926 in Searcy Co. Arkansas. Thus, brother and sister, Robert Taylor and Tennessee A. Parks married first cousins William W. Thomas Horton and Malinda Eleanor Ellen Horton. To further add to the mingling of the Adams-Parks-Horton line, the daughter of Robert Taylor Parks and Malinda Eleanor Ellen Horton Parks was Flora Flurette Parks who married Thomas Montgomery Wright and their son, Frederick Andrew Wright married Anna Gladys Horton.
