I have several ancestors who lived in Searcy County--and some are buried there. I just discovered that some are buried in Marshall Cemetery, and others in Duck Cemetery, now called Dongolo Cemetery? supposedly in or near Marshall. Or are they one and the same cemetery? Anyone know the location of these cemeteries? Are they difficult to find? Are they in good or poor condition? I'm hoping we can come over to that North Arkansas Ancestral Fair on June 3 (about a 3 1/2 hour drive for us from OK). If we do, first priority would be to find those cemeteries and take pix of the graves. Also one ancestor is supposed to be buried in Lonoke County, near Austin AR--but I can't find a listing for either of those places. Any ideas? If anyone is curious or has a connection, the ancestors I'm referring to are: James Clark Thomas, m. Elizabeth Lawrence--he died 1886, buried Duck Cemetery, she died 1874, buried Lonoke Co, near Austin AR. Samuel Smyth (s/o of Pinkney below) m. Drucilla Thomas (d/o above JC Thomas)--he died 1940, buried Marshall. She died 1916, buried Marshall. Pinkney H Smyth m. Mary Nowlin--he died 1911, buried Marshall. She died 1920 in Seminole OK, buried Marshall. Samuel and Drucilla Smyth's daughter Bertha was born in Marshall 1885 and m. George Slage 1913 in Marshall. They're both buried in Sperry OK. Bertha and George are our maternal grandparents. Thanks for any advice or help, Patti Jobe
