    3. Obituaries as early as 1850-1860, even up to the 1910's, in Arkansas are rare. If someone was VERY prominent, or died under unusual circumstances, there might be a notice in the press. For Searcy County, it would probably be in a Little Rock paper: Arkansas Gazette or True Deomocrat. A slightly better choice might be in a Masonic publication, but, again, notices for that early are almost non-existant.
