Don, I found a few Izard County Tax Records to go with the Henry Mann and there was also in 1850 a Matthew S. Mann in another township, he was age 32 in 1850. Izard County, Arkansas, Tax Records, 1829-1866 Mann, Barbary Ellen 1859 Mann, Barbary Ellen 1861 Mann, Henry 1853 Sec 1, Twp 15 N, Range 11 W Mann, Henry Estate 1858 Mann, Henry Estate 1859 Mann, John H. 1853, 1859, 1866 Twp 14N Range 11W Mann, John H. Rev. 1858, 1859, 1861, 1865 Twp 14 N, Range 11 W Mann, M. ? 1853 Section 10 Twp 14 N Range 11 W Mann, Mathew 1848 Mann, Mathew S. 1858 (3), 1859,(3) Sec. 10, 11 Twp 14 N, R 11 W Sec 25 Twp 15 N, R 11 West In 1850 Mathew Mann 32 TN, Mariah 27 TN, Sarah J. 11, Elizabeth 9, Eliza 7, Wm. 4, Henry Clay 2, Dwelling 247, White River Twp, Izard Co. In the 1860 and 1870 census there is a John Henry and he is a Methodist Minister, however, the ages very and I wouldn't attempt a guess as to whether it is the son of old Henry or it is him...if it is he got younger. smile Maybe these Manns of Izard Co. will prove to help you. Since your Searcy Co. Manns were in the very NE cornor of Searcy County, that became Baxter Co. in 1880's or 1890's, they were still fairly near their Izard Co. families. In a later census in Izard there is a younger David Mann.
