I have some info on William Martin "Billy" and Sarah (Smith) Adams, Judy. One of their descendants (although I'm not sure he's aware of it) lives a couple miles from me. I got some of my information from his mom's papers as well as from Steve Bemrich and his "Family Tree Farm" site. Census and histories helped lots too. For openers: William Martin "Billy Adams (son of John & Rhoda [Martin] Adams) b Floyd Co. KY 10 Jan 1821 d St. Louis MO 20 Aug 1902 m Sarah Smith b TN 1836. They were in Tomahawk Township, Searcy Co. AR 1860, 1870 and in Hampton Township, Marion Co AR 1900. Their children were: Sarah E. Adams b Searcy Co AR 1862 m ca 1878 Thomas M. Younger (son of William Alexander & Lucinda Jane [Hinson] Younger) b MCAR 21 Nov 1853. Mary Jane Adams b Searcy Co. AR Oct 1863 d Water Creek Township, Marion Co. AR 18 March 1938 m John F/S. Baker (son of Jesse & Adelissa [Reeves] Baker) b Searcy Co. AR 23 Feb 1857 d Searcy Co. AR 20 March 1903. Louise Adams b MO 1865/7 m 1 Sep 1889 J. W. Herrington b ca 1866. Martha A. Adams b AR 1867/8 m 25 June 1892 H. L. Watts b ca 1852. John Quincy Adams b AR May 1870 m 17 Dec 1893 Minnie Swafford (daughter of Joseph Bozman & Manda [Faught] Swafford) b 1876/7 of Searcy Co. AR. Not knowing which line or how many of them your friend wants to trace, I'll leave this here and wait to hear. Do have more - mostly on the Marion Co. side, though. Sure would like to find out more about Sarah Smith. She's a brick wall for me.
