    2. Is this a typo or is there really an 1879 census for Marion Co? And if so, does anyone have access to it and willing to do lookups? ~gina~ In a message dated 04/ 22/2001 9:05:58 PM Pacific Daylight Time, shakerag@mtnhome.com writes: > visit my website at http://hometown.aol.com/ginaburningsky/myhomepage/business.html www.burningskyenterprises.com

    3. Oh, Gina. I'm sorry. That was a typo. It should be the 1880 census. All Federal census have been enumerated decennially - every 10 years. Historically - primarily back in the northeastern states after 1790 - a State census would be taken now and then, usually halfway between the decennial federal censuses. And there was a Sheriff's Census for AR in 1836 (I think), but only a couple of counties survive (the sheriff was the tax collector back in those days). Sorry about the typo, folks.
