I would like to know something about your Mcelroy family for my husband is a descendant of those that lived in the St.Francis and Cross county areas and we might have a connection here. John McElroy and 3rd wife, Mary Stevenson from the N.C.Ga. areas to Ar. in l848. Had l0 children most of the descendants lived in and around the Wynne,Ar. area for a number of years and there are a few still there as I understand it and think Searcy county may be where some of them went to as well. John had 5 other children by his first two wives and most of them were in the area in Ar. as well. Will gladly share info. with you and would like to see if we have a family connection.
