What town are your ancestors from? I am looking for info. on George Maurice Avey, son of Edwin Avey, the man who ran the abstract office in Yellville, AR in the late 1880's. I know nothing of Edwin at this time. ALLENE PIERCE-AVEY

Allene, this is a new one on me. I'm not aware of an Avey connected with an abstract office in Yellville, Marion Co, AR, in the late 1880s. Do you have any further information? There's quite a section about the Avey family in "Genealogies of Marion Co Families 1811-1900" published by the Genealogical Society in Marion Co, but neither of these names is in it. There's only one Avey family in Marion Co in the 1880 census and that's Henry.
