I'm trying to find an ancestor for 1860 and 1870 and am wondering if you can help. Was there a specific area called St. Joe for 1860 and 1870 or was it part of the Tomahawk Township? If that area wasn't part of the Tomahawk Township, then what township/s was it? In the 1860's and 1870's, what areas DID make up the Tomahawk Twp., that changed for 1880? The relative I'm looking for was supposed to be in the Tomahawk area in 1850's (later) but I can't find him or his family till 1880. Not knowing the boundaries for the townships (have the boundary map of the 1880 Searcy Co. censuses) I don't know if I'm looking in the wrong census records or what. Thanks for any help you can give me on this. I've looked and looked at census records and no matter how long I stare I can't make them materialize! hahaha Jan James
