Hi list. I also need some Reeves/Reves help. I need information on Joseph Reves (Reeves) b. abt. 1788 in NC d. abt. 1855 in Independence Co, AR who married Rhoda Miller. I don't have information on Rhoda or Joseph Reves' marriage, siblings, etc. One of their sons, Chapman M. Reeves b. 1822 KY d. 1894 Searcy Co, AR married Dianah B. Lewis in 1848 b. 1830 d. 1901. Their son, George S. Reeves b. 1857 d. 1905 married Lucy Ann Griffin in 1882. They were my Great-great grandparents. Any information would be helpful. My line may be related to the Peter Reeves line -- distant cousins?? There are a lot of Reeves/Reves from Arkansas which confuses the researcher! I am researching the following surnames: Maynard, Mainord, Reves, Reeves, and Griffin Thank you, Lu Ann Tulsa, OK lpennybaker@aep.com DdHober@aol.com 03/26/01 10:43 AM To: ARSEARCY-L@rootsweb.com cc: Subject: Re: [ARSEARCY] Reeves Surname Help Asa is the son of Peter Reeves and was b 1812. Lu Ann, probably your best source for Reves/Reeves data is "A North Arkansas Family Tree Farm" which is managed by Steve Bemrich at http://209.196.125.11/GEN. Last time I looked he had nearly 15,000 individuals - probably more of them Reeves than any other surname. Your Chapman Reeves is there with his ancestry back to England and a bunch of his descendants. Some of the information may be useful to you as may access to those who contributed their findings to Steve. Hope this helps.
